In my opinion, it is an absolute requirement to gain control of the whole updates situation in WordPress.
The old adage ” If it’s not broke don’t fix it” really matters. Why would you spend a heck of a lot of time getting your WordPress to be Google friendly only to have your site broken by an inconsiderate update? This plugin is brilliant. Once your site is set up and is fast and efficient it allows you to forget updating forever. If your current plugins work well with your current WordPress then why change that? Easy Updates manager allows you to “freeze” your online masterpiece so that it cannot be broken by unexpected updates ever again! The only plugins I set to auto update are my security plugins. Thank you guys for a great plugin, one that should absolutely be a part of WordPress anyway! – Basilsimon
This plugin has been a lifesaver as it saves me so much time over the number of sites I manage.
It also allows clients to do their own updating which helps both of us. – @kim01
I’ve been using Easy Updates Manager on a website for months and it works without a hitch. I recently added the plug in to my personal site. After having a site taken down by a hack in a plug in that I did not update right away, I have peace of mind using this plug in. – Shelley-E
I used to use other plugins to prevent plugin updates (Plugin Protector and Lock Your Updates) but they no longer get updated. The only thing they had which this one doesn’t is the ability to make notes on them when you disable them from updating. Other than that this plugin is great and has a lot of advanced options!
